(New York, NY) — Amato presents In Light of Form, a curated exhibition exploring the interplay between light and structure through a collection of works that challenge perception and redefine spatial presence. The show was on view at Roome in New York City's Lower East Side from March-May 2025.

Featuring works by Magdalena Wysocka + Claudio Pogo, Uki Cao, Edoardo Cozzani, Emily Croteau, Kai Jenrette, Aydan Hüseynli, John Junior Kim, Sheyang Li, and Ryan Kahen Design, the exhibition brings together a dynamic mix of disciplines — spanning sculpture, design, and visual art — to examine how light transforms material and space.

The works in In Light of Form resist fixed narratives. Some pieces embrace minimalism, reducing form to pure silhouette and shadow, while others layer texture and reflection to distort and expand the visual field. By engaging with both natural and artificial light, the artists highlight the tension between permanence and ephemerality — demonstrating how light can sculpt, soften, or destabilize familiar forms.

This collection reflects Amato’s curatorial vision of blending art and design in unexpected ways, inviting viewers to consider the often-overlooked relationship between structure and illumination.
